The Bookstore is one of the programs designed to infuse our campus with a collegiate feel by encouraging EPAPA students to act, feel, and even dress like college students. Throughout the day, students earn "EPAPA points" for positive behavior and academic performance. Each student tracks his/her points in a check register (East Palo Alto Phoenix Academy checkbook covers are also available for purchase), and those points can be exchanged for merchandise from the Bookstore. The Bookstore is stocked with gear that you would find at any college campus bookstore — t-shirts, sweatshirts, water bottles, notebooks, etc, all with college logos. Thus, students are rewarded for working and acting in the manner of successful college students by having access to college gear that a) they generally would not have access to, and b) helps strengthen their awareness of various colleges and universities. In fact, we're so excited about having kids wearing college apparel on campus that we have made a standing exception to our uniform policy: all students must wear a collared white or black shirt at all times, unless they are wearing apparel from a college or university.

We need your help to stock the Bookstore with a variety of attractive college gear. Individual students have listed schools they are interested in attending to our Bookstore Wishlist. Please follow the link to purchase merchandise they "have their eyes on" and send it to EPAPA.
